After 30 years of grooming in California, I expected I would retire

when I came to Kansas City, MO to take care of my elderly parents.

Of course that didn't last long. I started volunteering at the

Humane Society of Greater Kansas City to help animals in need. The

shelter quickly became my second home, so I started taking grooming

clients again. 50% of all proceeds goes to the shelter to help care for

homeless pets.

I soon found out that good Cat Groomers are rare in this area.

I have been a crazy cat lady all my life, so it's only natural that

they are my specialty. I welcome hard to groom cats, scaredy cats,

matted Diva cats, you name it!

I groom all breeds of Dogs, too. ( I don't discriminate!) I also do exotic birds.

I am a little different from most groomers. Instead of dropping

them off for the day, you are welcomed to watch. It takes me about an

hour to groom most pets.  I charge between $20 and $40 for a full service Groom.

That includes bathing, haircut, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, comb out, hand scissoring,

etc.... There are no extra charges, and they get whatever they need.

I can usually groom even very hard to handle cats, but once in awhile a cat is so tough or

scared that the best way to do it is to give them a small dose of sedation. If I think that's

necessary, and you agree there are veterinarians on hand in our walk-in clinic that

can perform that service. I prefer not to use drugs , but sometimes it's the only safe way.
